Thank you for checking out this
page. If you are involved in any form of music education, then your students'
musical development is of primary importance to you. CD Looper is a great tool
that can help fulfill this goal. While nothing can take the place of practice
and hard work, your students will begin making greater strides in their musical
development when lessons and practice sessions are combined with CD Looper. And
remember, the instrument that is being taught doesn't matter; these techniques
work equally well with guitar, piano, voice and saxophone, to name just a few.
And they work with all styles of music: Rock, Jazz, Classical, etc.
Imagine the scenario where CD Looper is used during private music instruction. Once the student has mastered the basics of the instrument, they usually begin studing compositions of the "masters". If studying piano, they might begin learning Bach 2-part inventions. If guitar, perhaps they are learning classic guitar riffs by Eric Clapton. This usually involves reading sheet music or tab and practicing the piece over and over.
Now add CD Looper to the equation. Before the lesson, you, the instructor, puts an audio cd in the computer and runs CD Looper. You take the passage that will be worked on and set small loop points, capturing each discrete musical phrase. Because CD Looper can retain an unlimited number of loop points, you can make these loops as small as you want. Later, these will become the building blocks of the entire passage when connecting them in MultiLoop mode. After you have set all the loop points, you go back and enter a description for them. This can be comments like "Very fast - watch your fingering" or "Play with expression!". When finished, you export the loop points, complete with the descriptions, to a floppy disk.
Your student now arrives for the lesson. As each loop plays, your student can play along at normal speed, or you can slow down any loop that needs to be practiced at a slower speed. You can also have your student not play but just listen to the loop, helping to develop their ear. Have them listen to each loop until they can hear all the notes. When the lesson is over, you give the student the floppy disk with the loop points so that they can import the loop points into their copy of CD Looper and practice, on their own, for the next lesson.
We have had many success stories already from teachers who have incorporated CD Looper into their teaching bag of tricks. You will soon notice a difference between your students who use CD Looper and those that don't. But don't take our word for it, try CD Looper today.
